Was I dreaming that?

Last night I had a dream that my neighbor was sleepwalking in my house. In the dream, I "woke up" and saw my neighbor in the doorway to the master bath. My right arm was very heavy and I couldn't get up. When I finally did, she looked like someone from a cartoon. Arms straight out, eyes closed and mumbling and snoring. I directed her to the couch on the first floor. When I turned my back to her, she "jumped" outside and her mother was walking her home. That's when I noticed she had trashed the house and it made sense to me at that time that she must have been looking for the pillows.

I then returned to bed (in my dream) and realized the front door had been left open. I kept hearing the door squeeking in the wind every 30 seconds or so. I then woke up to a chirping smoke dectector. Then Ryan woke up. I hate my smoke dectectors.

What a curious dream! It reminds me of when our neighbor actually did try to come into our house when he was sleepwalking. Fortunately, Tony was able to redirect him across the street!

What's going on with those fire detectors!! I've been thinking about putting new ones in (hard wired) but listening to what's happening to you, I think I'll stick with the old fashion kind!.

Mike,
funny, we had a similar type thing happen recently - I was running for a train and it just kept coming down the track towards the station, but never stopped. I just kept going, and didn't stop, and it didn't end, and it had a strange beeping sound every few seconds, kind of like a fire alarm. I got up and threw the fire alarm to the ground (I was still asleep.) When I came back to bed (Aliyah was asleep still), Patti asked what it was. I said "the train,: she said "OK," and went back to sleep...:)

Sounds like you need to spring for some new smoke detectors! Ours was beeping recenting at 3 AM or some crazy hour. It kept going off, so I had to get up and take it apart. The next morning I asked Dave if he heard it. He said yeah, but he didn't know what it was so he rolled over and went back to sleep. Gee I feel so safe with Dave there. I wonder if he would roll over and go back to sleep if some stranger was walking around in our house in the middle of the night....
